Let us take care of the tricks of the trade you don't want to learn or don't have time for. Self-published authors are tasked with so many duties, from social media management to trying to land BookBub ads, that sometimes it's easier to trust a professional with the more tedious aspects of the publishing process. Typical response time is under 24 hours, but please allow 24-72 hours for replies.

We work exclusively with WordPress. This is for both of our sanity. It gives us familiarity, and we can easily tweak the already existing CSS, HTML, and in some cases, PHP so you get a unique look every time, no matter what theme you choose, or widgets you install. For you, this makes posting pages, blog posts, or changing content a breeze.

Here's what we offer.

  • Full WordPress Setup- $400* (Extra fees apply for ecommerce sites, please contact us to discuss your site and potential fees if you are considering selling merchandise from your website, or selling subscription services.)
  • WordPress Training- $30 per hour (1 hour minimum.)** - We meet in Skype, Discord, or Google Hangouts, and I share my screen while walking and talking you through how to use all of the features WordPress currently offers so that when it comes time to make changes, you can do them on your own. - (Hourly charges are non-refundable.)
  • Website Maintenance- Price varies per session* - For those who don't want to learn, or don't have time to maintain their own WordPress website. A "session" is the time between when you contract us for a specific set of services (changing fonts, adding features, fixing broken code, etc.). Price depends on what you need done.

What we will need from you, depending on what you want/need:

  • Page Content
  • Graphics you want used unless we are creating graphics for you
  • Metadata: Google any web page. You will see the website's name (ours is Magelight Press — Book Publishing and Services), and then a very short description (150 characters or less) of what that website is about. This is the metadata we need from you.
  • Site Logo: A sqare (550px by 550px) image (PNG or JPG file) you want to represent your site. This will show in browser tabs when someone visits your page, and in bookmarks when someone bookmarks your page.

* Fees due at the beginning of the project and are not refundable.
** $30 due at the beginning of training. All accrued and other fees due at the end of training.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There are no "limits" to these services. We work until you are happy, as long as you stay within the original contract's parameters. Some designers give you a limit to the changes you can make (usually two to four changes), but we consider that a money-grab. If we do something you hate, tell us, and we will fix it. The limit is reached when you pay the final half of your fee, signalling that the contract is complete and you are happy with your design.

IMPORTANT NOTE 2: Your invoice constitutes a contract, and paying the non-refundable deposit (half of the total fee) constitutes your agreement to the terms of the contract, which will be disclosed in the notes section of the invoice. If you have any questions or problems with the contract, please let us know so we can discuss it before you pay your deposit and accept the contract.
